Sanjay Kapoor’s property, explosive allegations by mother Rani Kapoor

After the death of late industrialist Sanjay Kapoor, a new legal battle has started over his property. Now Sanjay’s mother *Rani Kapoor has come forward. She alleges that his widow Priya Sachdev has not only forged the will, but is now trying to sell the property.

‘My son has left me homeless’

Rani Kapoor claims in court ——

“Today I have nothing. I have repeatedly asked for documents related to the will, but I have not received a single piece of information. I was entitled to a property worth Rs 10,000 crore. I am 80 years old, but I am nowhere. Everything was lost within a few months of my son’s marriage.”

Rani’s lawyer Vaibhav Gaggawar told the court that Priya Sachdev has systematically seized the property and is now trying to sell it.

Children’s allegations

Sanjay and Karisma Kapoor’s two children, Samaira and Kiaan, have filed separate cases alleging that Priya made a fake will. They claim that there was no discussion about the will while Sanjay was alive. The Delhi High Court has already ordered Priya to provide details of all Sanjay’s movable and immovable assets.

Legal battle

Sanjay Kapoor died of a heart attack in London in June this year. He married Priya Sachdev in 2017. He was previously married to Karisma Kapoor from 2003 to 2016. Sanjay was the founder and chairman of Sona Comstar. According to various reports, his assets are estimated to be around Rs 30,000 crore.

New allegations: Not a natural death?

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Rani Kapoor recently wrote a letter to the UK authorities demanding a re-investigation of her son’s death. She fears that Sanjay’s death was not due to natural causes, but rather murder, conspiracy and financial fraud could be behind it.

This dispute over Sanjay’s death and property is now pending in the Delhi High Court.
