Marvel’s new animated miniseries Marvel Zombies has started streaming today. The four-episode show will take fans to a terrifying post-apocalyptic world, where the world’s most powerful heroes and heroines have been infected with a zombie virus that poses the greatest threat to humanity. Inspired by the comics, the series will see the few remaining survivors like Shang-Chi, Yelena Belova and Katie, who now face a battle with the zombie Avengers.
What’s in the story?
Usually, Marvel heroes save the world, but Marvel Zombies paints the opposite picture. Here, the beloved heroes themselves are victims of the virus. This infection spread from the Quantum Realm has destroyed civilization, and deadly dangers await the survivors at every turn.
The scariest thing is that the infected have retained their original superpowers. As a result, viewers will see zombie Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch or Ant-Man in a terrifying avatar, who are no longer protectors, but messengers of destruction.
Where to watch?
Marvel Zombies has been released on Disney+Hotstar from September 24, 2025 with four episodes at a time. Viewers in India can easily watch it on the JioCinema (Hotstar) platform. Instead of weekly episodes, the entire series is released at once, so fans can watch the entire story in one go.

This horror-action series is directed by Brian Andrews and written by Jeb Wells. The executive producer is Brad Winderbaum.

Why is it special?
The concept comes from the popular Marvel Zombies comics by comic creators Robert Kirkman and Sean Phillips. But this time it has been made more terrifying in animation. It will have a much darker, more mature, and horror-driven tone than Marvel’s usual stories.
Marvel Studios has already teased fans in the trailer with the line, “There’s nowhere left to run. Enter the apocalypse in MarvelZombies.”
